Shori awakens in the forest badly burned, with no memory of who she is and how she came to be there. While she may look like a ten-year-old girl, Shori soon learns that much older, and craves human blood to survive. A high-tech, science fiction twist on the vampire story.

Red Flags:

While Shori is 53-years-old in the novel, she appears to be a young child; as her feeding process is highly sexual, this may make some readers uncomfortable. Violence, cursing, and sexuality. Race issues also appear (Shori appears to be African American, and faces discrimination).
